50kW PV Solar AC-coupled with 48kWh Battery Energy Storage(BES)
Our team had built a pilot DER at factory with installed PV solar capacity of 45.9kW using two parallel Delta Electronics' Inverter(M20A_220) AC-coupled with LFP Battery Energy Storage (BES) of 48kWh energy capacity and the maximum charging/discharging power at 30kW.
We developed our own AI-based Energy Management System(EMS) that factors in weather forecast, load forecast, and electricity time-of-use (TOU) rate for optimum dispatch of Distributed energy resources in revenue perspective.
Backup power is also designed to meet customers need for key equipments in the event of power outages.
A good choicse for utilities who prefer Non-Wire Solutions (NWS) to traditional infrastructure investment that servers the same purpose of adding capacity to your distribution grid.
A 20kW Solar PV installed capacity DC-coupled with a 30kWh / 24kW BES has been installed and operational since September 2023.
While hostel adopts a Time-of-Use electric rate with a fixed 22kW Demand charge and Heat-Pump Water Heater ( HPWH 12kW) that consumes most energy on a daily basis, the AI-powered EMS runs with hostel electric rate plus weather & load forecasts and operates in a reliable and optimum revenue-earning mode, for example, how much to charge the battery after mid-night with a off-peak rate when there is a bunch of sunshine or rains next day.
The DER can operate off-grid with only Solar PV and BES for 4 hours on critical equipment per Hostel needs when there is an outage on utility grid.
It is a green and sutainable electric energy solution for small commercial businesses, and also a sure relief for utility distribution grid capacity.
